200 Hour Accredited Course by Spira Yoga School

We are pleased to host a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training from Spira Yoga School, a highly rated Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School. Coursework commences in January and finalizes June 2020, meeting a total of 10 training weekends. Yoga is practiced each weekend and reputable teachers are featured throughout the course. *Rotating Subjects include Anatomy & Physiology, Yoga Philosophy and Teaching Methodology, as designated by Yoga Alliance.

COURSE TOPICS & CONTENT

Spira Yoga School is a Registered Yoga School and our 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training curriculum follows the guidelines and requirements set forth by Yoga Alliance. The foundation of this course is Hot Yoga and Vinyasa Yoga, and trainees will gain ample knowledge of a variety of postures as well as learn how to sequence and teach Vinyasa or Hatha, Flow or Hot Yoga.

Included in the 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training:

  • Yoga and meditation led each training weekend with emphasis on technique and practice
  • Over 130 postures explored in depth, including their variations, modifications, benefits and contraindications
  • Extensive study of anatomy, alignment maps, and how to move bodies in space safely
  • Study of Sanskrit terminology and Sanskrit posture names
  • Read and analyze key components from Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras; Examine and discuss yoga philosophy
  • Equal emphasis on Hot Hatha Yoga and Vinyasa Yoga, both in practice and in theory
  • Ample individual teaching time including two 60 minute classes taught by each trainee at the end of the course
  • Learn how to assess your students to create customized classes appropriate for their level
  • Review and discuss ethics as they apply to a yoga teacher as well as the business aspects of teaching yoga

COURSE COST & REQUIREMENTS

The full tuition of the 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Weekend Course is $2,500. Below are important cost deadlines and training requirement details.

TUITION DEADLINE

The full, remaining tuition is due on the first day of the course; for those who cannot pay the tuition in full by November 24th, 2019, a payment plan is created, with an initial installment fee, to pay the tuition over the length of the course.

AMANDA C CORREA

Founder of Spira Yoga School (RYS), Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher,
Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher

Over the last ten years, Amanda has attended multiple yoga training courses, studying Hot Yoga, Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Kundalini, Restorative and Yoga Nidra, while accumulating more than 4,000 hours of teaching experience at yoga studios in Texas and California. In 2014, she founded Spira Yoga School, a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School, and to date has graduated five successful 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training courses. As a teacher trainer, Amanda has a natural ability to articulate and relate material to the point of understanding and embodiment.   3. Once we have received and reviewed your application, we will contact you within a few business days to schedule an interview, either in person or over the phone. During the interview we will also review course information and answer any questions.
