My yoga journey started in 2011 at the age of 43, prompted by a snowboarding injury and an ending marriage, I needed to heal. Stepping into a Bikram yoga studio was uncomfortably challenging but the minute class ended I knew I was hooked. I slept that night for the first time since I could remember. After that I practiced 5 days a week! It didn’t take long to realize I wanted to teach but as a single father of 2 girls I knew I would have to wait. In 2016 a window of opportunity opened and I said yes again to being uncomfortable and went to teacher training with True You Yoga 26&2. Since then I have taught at Hot Yoga Club Granite Bay. I have continued to grow my understanding of yoga postures with competition and the training that goes with it to understand the sequence from bottom up and to bring a simple but effective class to my students.
