Marianne received her 200-hour yoga teaching certification from CorePower Yoga in Portland, Oregon in 2014. For the past 5 years, she has continuously taught vinyasa, gentle yoga, pranayama, and mindfulness for a total of about 3000 hours. She is a personal trainer and works with high-intensity interval training as well as dance fitness. She grew up in Oroville and moved back to California in 2017 to be closer to her family and bring her experience of yoga to her hometown. Having a second chance at education after raising a daughter at a young age, she will attend Chico State University studying public health starting in Spring 2020. Marianne believes movement and breath in sync connect us to our bodies more deeply and awaken the intuition within. She aims to bring fun and joy into to every class. She has a strong and sweet voice to guide you through a practice that will leave you feeling cared for and refreshed. When she is not teaching classes, she loves hiking, swimming, singing, and hanging out with her dog.
