Amanda CorreaInstructor, E-RYT 500, RPYT, YACEP

While obtaining her Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX, Amanda Correa began her pursuit of yoga by taking Yoga 101 and Eastern Philosophy. Her yogic studies continued after university, and in 2009 Amanda completed her first Yoga Teacher Training, a 500 Hour Hot Hatha Course at Sunstone Yoga in Addison, TX. Afterwards she began teaching heated Hatha and Vinyasa classes, emphasizing how breath inspires movement, purifies the body, and quiets the mind.

With a passion for learning and growth, over the past ten years Amanda has completed multiple yoga teacher training courses, including Kundalini, Prenatal, Restorative and Yoga Nidra, and she is currently enrolled in the Art of Teaching Teacher Training at the Iyengar Yoga Institute of San Francisco. She has earned the Yoga Alliance designations of Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher, Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher, Continuing Education Provider and Thought Leader. In 2014, Amanda founded Spira Yoga School (RYS 200®) where, as the Lead Trainer, she offers yoga teacher training and continuing education courses annually. In addition to teaching classes, workshops and courses, Amanda also guides small group retreats and is available for private lessons.

Whether you are new to your yoga practice or have been practicing for years, with over 4,000 hours of teaching experience, Amanda will challenge you to find your edge, lovingly assist and adjust your alignment, and encourage you to create a breath-body connection. Amanda is grateful for the bounty of gifts given to her by the practice and lifestyle of yoga and is awed when hearing stories of transformation from others.
